History

Don Bosco English Medium School is situated at Monigram under Sagardighi police station and Block in the civil district of Murshidabad in West Bengal, was established in 31st March 2005. And is administered by the Registered Society of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Krishnagar. The First Principal of the school was Rev. Fr. Kishore Lakra.(April-2005 to June-2005). Rev Fr. Arul Rozario was the second Principal of the school in the year June-2005 to July 2017. Rev. Fr. Yacub Ekka is the third Principal of the school from July 2017 to till date.

The School has been Provisionally affiliated to the Council for a period of five years in the year 2015 to prepare and enter candidates for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (Year 10) Examination.  The school will seek Permanent Affiliation in course of time. The first batch of class X students passed from the school was in 2014-2015 with 96% . Until now 5 batches of class X students have passed the ICSE examination.

The New school building Foundation was laid by Rev. Bishop Joseph Gomes SDB DD the Bishop of Krishnagar in the year 2009. The school building work was completed in the year 2019 with its fullest form.  

The school shifted from Old building to new building in the year 2016. The school is adorned with the latest equipment of teaching and highly educated teaching staff from all parts of India with a variety of cultural backgrounds.
